Insurers
Bolton Physio also provide physiotherapy for people on behalf of:

Bolton Physio also provide Medico-Legal Reports.
Private Medical Insurance Companies
Bolton Physio are registered with all private medical insurance companies, including:
- Bupa
- AXA
- AVIVA
- SAGA
- WPA
- CIGNA
- PRU Health
- Simply Health
Bolton Physio aim to work with private insurers directly and invoice for payment, however if this is not possible we will require payment from you and provide a receipt for you to claim the money back from your insurance company.
When calling Bolton Physio to arrange an initial assessment please let us know if you have private insurance and have the following information ready:
- The name of the company
- Policy number
- Authorisation number (a referral from your GP may be required to receive this)
If your insurer requires a physiotherapy reference number before they can authorise treatment please contact us and we will provide it for you.
Case Managers and Solicitors
Bolton Physio work closely with case managers and solicitors for personal injury claims. Your case manager or solicitor may refer you for physiotherapy directly if you have a current personal injury claim.
We will work with your case manager or solicitor to send invoices directly to them so that you can focus on your physiotherapy rehabilitation.
Health Care Cash Plans
Bolton Physio are registered physiotherapy providers with all Cash Plans. Policies and procedures differ between Health Care Plans, you can usually refer yourself. We advise you read your policy document or contact your Cash Plan provider to check before booking an appointment. The usual procedure is for you to pay us directly for your physiotherapy and then you can claim back your money with the receipts we provide.
Medico-Legal Reports
Bolton Physio provide Medico-Legal Reports complaint with Civil Procedure Rules and Practice Direction. Our Expert Witness physiotherapists are members of the Medico-Legal Associated of Chartered Physiotherapists.
Medico-Legal Reports provide advice regarding:
- The claimant's functional ability
- The claimant's rehabilitation potential
- The claimant's physiotherapy needs
- The cost of physiotherapy
- Equipment required to aid rehabilitation
- Suitability of accommodation
The cost of a Medico-Legal Report depends on the complexity of the individual case. The report is usually completed in less than 2 weeks.
